A small selection of females changed hands at the Christmas Cracker sale at Kivells, Exeter, on Friday, 18 December, where Swelle Ecstasy from Tracey Cobbledick topped at 380gns.

Selling to Kian Frain of the Tamarvale flock near Tregadillet, Launceston, Ecstasy is by Uppercleuch Bull Nose and out of the Tiptop Toronto daughter, Swelle Wishful Thinking. She sold scanned with a single to Tercrosset Enchanter.

Kian paid a further 320gns for Tracey’s Selle Desting, another by the Bull Nose ram but this time out of Slyddon Vale Photo Genic, by Bursyepark Marker. She was carrying twins to Lyonpark Defender.

At 330gns was Fingle Frozen from Louise Elworthy. She sold to Graham Powlesland, Norleigh Barton flock, Hatherleigh, Devon. This Finniness Comic-sired ewe lamb is out of the Kingledores Tempest daughter, Fingle Armarni.

Averages: 2 aged ewes, £299; 3 shearling ewes, £315; 1 ewe lamb, £347.
