The Society was disappointed to hear that Wright Marshall Ltd had gone into administration, as we have had a long standing partnership with Gwyn Williams and Wright Marshall since the early days of the Beltex Sheep Society as Chelford held the first market sale for the Society back in 1992.
The Society wanted to find a venue in an area that could be accessible for longstanding Chelford / Beeston vendors, also for purchasers who have followed this sale for a good number of years.
The Society has been in talks with Robert Watkins, Leek Auctions, exploring the possibility of a sale to replace Beeston for 2019, and are pleased to announce the Beltex Sheep Society will be holding a sale at Leek Livestock Market on Wednesday 21 August, with a pre-sale Show at 5.00pm followed by the Sale at 6.00pm.
John Barclay (Beachy flock) will be supporting this sale as he has done for Chelford & Beeston along with Stuart Wood (Woodies flock) which the Society appreciates.
Entry Forms will be mailed out to regular vendors from previous years and members in the locality, if you don’t happen to get one, contact the Society office on 015395 67973.
The Society and Leek Auctions are aware this this will be a quick turnaround for entries coming in and compiling the catalogue, but would appreciate your support for this sale.
