Beltex beat all at Premier Meat Exhibition

Beltex lambs reigned supreme in both the live and carcase classes at the Premier Meat Exhibition on 13 and 16 November, winning the Supreme Championship in both sections.

An entry from John Hall and daughter Joanne, from Inglewood Edge, claimed the Championship in the live section with a 36.2kg entry.

The Reserve Champion in the live competition went on to secure the supreme ticket in the carcase section for Robert Templeton, Carslae, Sired by a Corstane ram, this 21.2kg carcase graded E2 and also won the Jean-Marie Macquet Trophy for the best export lamb.

Another with plenty Beltex genetics was reserve carcase for Jim and Wallace Kennedy, Lyonpark. This 22kg entry also graded E2.
