The Annual Show & Sale of pedigree Beltex, held in conjunction with the Central Beltex Club, saw a quality entry of Beltex sheep presented for sale at Ashford.

Judge James Bianchi’s Supreme Champion, Merton Hall Daisy Daisy ET from ED Jones, Cottenham, sold to local breeder Miss Jade Davies, Brodnyx Flock, Bilsington, for £450.

Reserve Supreme Champion and Champion Ram Teg (Shearling Ram), Merton Hall Donald Duck from the same vendor, sold to Miss H Dent, Maidstone for £480.

Top priced Beltex also came from ED Jones for a ram teg, Glenpark Dagger ET, which sold for £600 to K Sheilds, Bexhill, Sussex.

The pedigree Beltex ram tegs averaged £473 with pedigree ewe tegs averaging £242.
