A small offering of Beltex peaked at 750gns at the Northern Beltex Club sale at Darlington Farmers Auction Mart on Tuesday, 20 September, when that price was paid for Glaisdale Gladiator from Myles Mortimor.

Selling to OS Laws, Northerallerton, this Airyolland Def Leopard son is bred from Glaisdale Dolly, a Brownville Big Den daughter from the flock near Whitby.

One lot later, Myles sold another by the Airyolland ram, Glaisdale Geronimo, for 580gns to WH Brown, Grinton. His dam is Glaisdale Echo, a Broxty Cockadoodledoo daughter.

The Male and Supreme Champion, Langlands Gladiator from Jeff and Sue Wilkinson, Barningham, Richmond, sold to GW Dent, Cockfield, for 550gns. His pedigree features Edendiack Darius on to Langlands Easter, a Clary Donegal daughter.

Females reached 380gns for the Findlay family’s Westerdale Grief, also from near Whitby. This Ardstewart Ernie daughter is bred out of Tiptop Eclipse, herself by Belvoir View Chaos, and sold to TH Richardson, Hamsterley.
