Shearling ewe takes the judge’s fancy as Jamie and Richard Jerman’s Brilley Fancy Pants ET claims the top title at the Virtual Royal Highland Show, as judged by Wade McCrabbe, Ardstewart Flock.

“Going by the photos she has a real good skin and the beautiful back legs I like in a sheep. She has lovely colours with light hair and dark skin and is a real character with her head up. She also looks to be real correct with great conformation and really stood out in the photos – I would love to see her in the flesh,” said Wade of the Supreme Champion, adding that it took him four hours to judge the 71 entries.

Fancy Pants’ pedigree features Swffryd Exclusive on to the Topflite Al Pacino-sired Hackney Dior.

Standing Reserve Supreme was the winner of the aged ram class and Male Champion, Swffryd Diplo ET from Nick Gill and Kayley Kennedy. This time sired by Al Pacino, he is out of Hackney Treacle, a Ryder Rooney daughter.

“The aged ram seems to have real character with great conformation and a lovely skin, in his natural condition and not dressed,” commented Wade.

Nick and Kayley also lifted the Reserve Female honours with their aged ewe, Matt’s Dipsy ET, a Hackney Corker daughter, and the Reserve Male ticket with their shearling ram, Nikay Fiddlesticks, which is by Swffryd Diplo.

Heading up the ram lamb section was Graham and Fiona Burke’s Pentland Glenmorangie ET, a son of Aviemore E Quality, while James Wannop won the ewe lamb class with Wannop’s Goddess ET, herself by Brothertoft Fynley ET.
